An Education Model for the Use of Digital Fabrication in Designing

For the education of the future designers who will lead the design field, this study focuses on the digital design education strategy and analyzes the applicability of digital fabrication using 3D printer and 3D scanner technology, and furthermore, robot technology. Previous research was conducted by examining various educational methods that can be applied to promote the creative thinking of students in the field of design education, and the research results began with using traditional design methods and expanded to digital design education strategies. As a result, this research develops a design education model that focus more on digital design education strategies and this will be an important foundation for the instructional plans of actual subjects in the design education.
