Mi Jeong Kim is a professor of the School of Architecture at Hanyang University in Korea. She received her bachelor's and master's degree from Yonsei University and her Ph.D. in the Key Centre of Design Computing and Cognition at the University of Sydney. She worked as a postdoc fellow in the Department of Engineering Research Support Organization at UC Berkeley before joining Kyung Hee University. Her current research interest includes convergence issues such as sensing architecture, human-computer interaction (HCI) for spatial design, virtual reality (VR) & augmented reality (AR), design education & strategies for creativity, health smart homes & smart communities, and cognitive studies related to design & environment.

She has published over 80 international journal papers (SCI/SSCI/A&HCI), and 40 Korean journal papers. Also, she published chapters in 6 international architectural books, participated as an editor in 2 international books, and worked as a guest editor for 7 special issues of international journals. She is an Editor-in-Chief of the journal of the Korean Institute of Interior Design and a member of the Editorial Board of SSCI Journals and A&HCI journal.

한양대학교 건축학부 김미정 교수는 연세대학교에서 학사와 석사 학위를, 시드니 대학 Key Centre of Design Computing and Cognition에서 박사학위를 받았다. 경희대학교에 교수로 재직하기 전에UC 버클리 대학 컴퓨터공학과에서 박사 후 연구원으로 근무하였다. 현재 관심있는 연구분야는 융합적인 연구이슈들을 중심으로 다음과 같은 영역을 포함한다: sensing architecture, human-computer interaction (HCI) for spatial design, virtual reality (VR) & augmented reality (AR), design education & strategies for creativity, health smart homes & smart communities, cognitive studies related to design & environment.

김미정 교수는 80편 이상의 국제논문(SCI/SSCI/A&HCI)과 40편 이상의 국내 학진등재 논문을 발표했다. 6권의 국제 건축서적에 챕터를 출판하였고, 2권의 국제 서적에 편집자로 참여하였으며, 국제 SCI급 저널의 스페셜 이슈의 Guest Editor로 활동하였다. 현재는 한국실내디자인학회 논문 편집장이자 SSCI 논문 및 A&HCI 논문 편집위원으로 활동하고 있다.
