Main Research Areas
The international (SCI/SSCI/A&HCI/Scopus) and domestic journal papers published in Sensing Space Lab are categorized into the following five areas: Sensing Architecture, Design Studies, Human-Computer Interaction, BIM and Computing, and Environment and Energy.
Sensing architecture has the double meaning of senses and sensors, that is, it deals with emotional and sensible spaces or smart and interactive architecture. Design studies is related to design computing in some ways because we currently combine many technology elements into our design process and products. In Human-Computer Interaction, the new area ‘Human-Building Interaction’ emerged from the architectural perspective with a focus on interactions among people, space and buildings. The Environment and Energy is one of fundamental research areas in the architecture domain.
